1. About this policy
EyeTech provides CCTV and security systems, internet and networking solutions, and home Wi-Fi installation and support to homes and businesses in the United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or contact us, how we use it, who can see it and what choices you have. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information you give us
We collect the information you type into our forms or tell us when you contact us.
- Enquiry, quote and survey requests: your name, phone number, email address (optional), whether the property is a home or a business, the area or address, the service you are interested in, a preferred day and time if you give one, and your message.
- Bookings: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the type of property, the emirate and address, any notes you add, and the visit type, day and arrival window you choose. We give you a reference and a private link so you can view, move or cancel your booking.
- Calls, WhatsApp and email: if you contact us this way we receive the details you share, such as your phone number and your messages. WhatsApp and your email provider handle those messages under their own policies.
3. Information collected automatically
When you send a form we also record your IP address, the type of browser and device you used, and the page you came from. We use this to keep the website secure, to limit spam and repeated submissions, and to understand how a request reached us. Our web servers also keep standard technical logs for security and to keep the website running.
4. Cookies and tracking
The public pages of this website do not set cookies by themselves, and we do not use advertising or profiling tools. If we switch on website analytics, a banner asks for your permission first, and analytics runs only if you accept; you can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. Cookies are also used to keep our own staff signed in to the management area, which visitors do not use. Our Cookie Policy explains this in full.
We count visits to this website ourselves, to see how many people visit and which pages are useful, but only if you accept. If you decline, or have not chosen yet, we do not count your visit. When you accept, we record the page visited, the language, the type of device, where the visit came from (for example a search engine) and the time, and a random number saved in your browser lets us tell new visitors from returning ones. We do not store your IP address, and we do not record your name or anything you type into a form. We ignore visitors who use Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and we delete individual visit records after 90 days, keeping only totals.
When you send a booking or enquiry form, we also keep a one-word note of how your visit to the website began (for example “search” or “social media”). It does not identify you, and we use it only to see which channels bring customers.
5. How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and to contact you about it;
- to arrange and carry out a site survey, a visit, a quote and the work you ask for;
- to confirm, change or cancel your booking, including by email where you gave an address;
- to provide support and maintenance after we install a system;
- to protect the website and our business from spam, misuse and fraud;
- to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We contact you about your request. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
6. Who can see your information
Your details are used by our team to deal with your request. A technician receives the information needed for a visit, such as your name, phone number and address. We may also use service providers that help us run the website and send emails, and they may handle your information only to provide those services to us. We may share information where the law requires it or where a public authority lawfully asks for it. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Camera footage and your systems
Footage recorded by a CCTV system we install is stored on your equipment and belongs to you. We access a system only when you ask us to install, set up or support it, and we do not use your footage for any other purpose.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, for example while we deal with your request, carry out your work and support your system, and for as long as the law requires us to keep records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to the information you send us is limited to the people who need it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details such as passwords through the website forms.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it, subject to what the law allows and requires us to keep. You can also move or cancel a booking yourself using the private link in your booking confirmation. To make a request, please contact us using the details below, and we will reply as soon as we reasonably can.
11. Information about children
Our website and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites and services
This website may link to other websites, and some contact options, such as WhatsApp, are provided by other companies. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle information, so please read their own policies.
13. Where information is handled
The providers that help us run the website may handle information in other countries. Where that happens, we expect them to protect your information and we take the steps the law requires.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and the version on the website when you use it is the one that applies.
15. Contact us
If you have a question about this policy or about your information, please get in touch through our contact page. You will find our phone number, WhatsApp number and email address there.
